Hey guys, in today’s video I’m going to give you my all time favorite traveling tip. Its one you can use for any trip, with any amount of people, for any length of time.

And here is my tip: use packing cubes!
Yes, they have been around for awhile, but I have encountered very few people who actually use them. And trust me, once you start you’ll never go back.
Here are the benefits:
They make it easier for you to organize your things so you will always be able to find what you are looking for without scrounging through everything and making a big mess.
Everything you put in these bags stay the way you put them in, no matter what the baggage handlers do with your bag. If you put a shirt in nicely folded, it will stay nicely folded.
It keeps your things private, so if you are carrying on and get chosen for extra screening and TSA goes through your bag, all your private things are wrapped up nicely in these bags and the entire airport wont get a peek at your underwear.
You can use these as drawers wherever you go. So even if there isn’t enough drawer space in your hotel, and especially on cruise ships, you can just keep your things in these bags and pull them out whenever you need something.
How should you use them?
Some people like to put a days worth of clothing and accessories into each bag. So on whatever day all they have to do is pull out the one bag and everything they need is all right there.
I think that works great for solo travelers, or maybe even couples, but it’s a bit unrealistic for families.
What I recommend instead is buying a set of 3-5 different sized cubes in a different color for each member of your family. Then organize that person’s clothes by category in their color cube. I like to put tops in one, bottoms in another, socks, undergarments and PJs in another.
Then when that person needs to get something, all they need to do is find the appropriate size and color cube, pull it out and be on their way.
And parents, listen closely because you will LOVE this. Since everything stays pretty well folded inside of these cubes, when you get home from your trip all you have to do is hand each kid their color cubes and then they can be responsible for putting away all their own things after a trip. Can I get an AMEN!
These things are amazing and when you start using them, you’ll wonder why you didn’t start sooner. I use them for overnight trips, solo trips, week long trips, weekend trips down to grandmas, even camping. They are actually pretty great for camping.
